Marketing Executive

Job Description

As our Marketing Executive, you’ll strategize and oversee our digital marketing efforts, including email campaigns, social media growth, and book promotions, ensuring our titles captivate and reach our target audience effectively. You’ll analyze campaign performance, update marketing materials, and embrace innovation to elevate our brand in the ebooks market.

What do we do?

We’re an online Romance Publishing House. What we do is we create the plot for a book, the scene-by-scene analysis, and all that’s needed for a book to be written. Then we hire a writer to write the book for us. The writer delivers the book in parts, and each time a part is delivered, we give our feedback and our requests for corrections. After the book is finished, we create the title, the blurb, and finally, the cover. And lastly, we publish it online and promote it!

You will be responsible for…

  • Email Campaigns: Ensure all email marketing efforts are running smoothly and effectively.
  • Content Creation: Continuously working on compelling content for emails, social media, and promotions that align with our brand and goals.
  • Promotional Coordination: Manage and execute one-time book promotions or partnerships to boost book visibility and sales
  • Documentation Updates: Keep our marketing guides and process documents current with the latest strategies and practices.
  • Performance Reporting: Compile and analyze data from email, paid ads, and other marketing campaigns, presenting insights and improvements.
  • Social Media Growth: Develop and implement strategies to increase our social media presence and engagement with our target audience.
  • Innovation: Explore and test new marketing tactics and channels to attract and retain our niche market readers.
  • Professional Development: Stay ahead of industry trends by engaging in self-education through reading and online learning.

Work Rules

  • Task based. Essentially we work on deadlines. You know all tasks that need to be done, almost 3-4 weeks before.
  • Flexible and Remote. You can work any time you prefer, or work more the days you feel like it, and less the days you want to chill. Plus, you can work from any place you want.
  • We have only 1 weekly zoom meeting.
  • No usual schedule of “off days”.
    • You don’t need permission to take a leave of absence.
    • You work according to tasks, so technically you have unlimited time off, as long as all tasks are handled in time
    • Still, you need to have at least 1hr available each day for any emergencies that may occur and for communication.
    • This applies to any holidays, birthdays, etc. Obviously, medical emergencies are an exception.
    • So, for example, if you need to be on vacation or be somewhere with limited free time for work, you’d have to set aside one hour to handle anything work-related, like checking your emails, ask for someone else to handle your emergency if you can’t do it in an hour, or help someone else if needed, etc.

Compensation

  • The first two months are probationary, and almost pure training and evaluation. The salary is $600.
  • Then your standard compensation becomes $900.
  • Bonuses
    • Since you’re overseeing all the book launches, you’ll have the chance to earn a bonus for every launch we do. Currently, we do 10 launches per month.
    • Lastly, there are quarterly bonuses according to the performance of all our pen names

Please pay attention to everything we’ve written above, and ask us any question you might have.
